Meet Lauren, the speech pathologist behind the logo. As an experienced clinician with over 12 years combined experience across the disability sector in various capacities, she's learned these 3 things about herself and her practice.. she values:

Many of her clients over time have faced challenges in finding providers who truly listen and think about the 'whole person' instead of the sole presenting disability or ailment. Lauren aims to think about everything that makes up a person first, and then consider how their disability impacts their ability to live a 'normal' life. Having worked in the disability industry since the commencement of the NDIS across different roles, she understands the boundaries of legislation and seeks to uphold this and make ethical decisions at all times. If there's something she can't help with, she'll help you find someone who can!

As a person who is no stranger to adversity, and knows disability and illness don't discriminate, Lauren is passionate about giving people hope and advocating for those who can't advocate for themselves. Her mission is to help her clients awaken their abilities to be their own advocate, and help build the pathways required to get there.

Lauren has special interests in supporting adolescents and adults with acquired brain injury, stroke, mental illness, progressive neurological diseases, autism and intellectual disability... but she will work with individuals of all ages and disabilities.

• Lee Silverman Voice Treatment (LSVT LOUD) for Parkinson's Disease
• Sheppard Dysphagia Resource DDS/DMSS Certification
• PEERS for Adolescents (Social Skills Program)
• The Hanen "It Takes Two to Talk" Program for Parents of Children with Language Delays
• Cervical Auscultation for Dysphagia Assessment
• PECS Level 1 Training
