Speech Pathology
Speech Pathologists are qualified allied health professionals who specialise in the assessment, diagnosis and management of communication and swallowing difficulties. They support people of all ages and abilities to develop and maintain the skills needed to communicate effectively, participate in everyday activities and safely enjoy eating and drinking.
Speech Pathologists provide evidence-based assessment and individualised therapy to support speech clarity, language development, social communication, literacy, voice, fluency, cognitive communication and swallowing difficulties. They also assist individuals who use alternative and augmentative communication (AAC) systems to express their needs, wants and preferences.
At Allied Awakening, our Speech Pathologists work collaboratively with individuals, families, carers and other health professionals to promote functional communication, independence, social participation and overall quality of life.
